Hertz Graduate Management Scheme
Ryan Emo Advertising needed to quickly turn around a public facing website within two weeks for Hertz for its graduate recruitment campaign. It was vital that the website design be appropriately attention-grabbing, yet had to adhere to Hertz's corporate branding guidelines.
We professionally designed and developed the site for Hertz, ensuring that it was designed to fully comply with heuristic usability guidelines to minimise premature visitor-abandonment. As with all of our work, we also cross-browser tested the site to make sure the design was maximally accessible.
“NerveCentral delivered a professional and highly creative solution for a key project. The service we received was timely, within budget and worry-free – it was a pleasure to work with them.”
- Claire Frost, REMO

Bombay Halwa
Bombay Halwa, a division of Noon Group selling Indian cuisine and delicacies to industry and consumers, decided to create a new revenue-stream by directly selling their products online.
As ever, we had to ensure that the e-commerce site that we delivered would better Bombay Halwa's competition, which in the world of web and especially e-commerce, purely comes down to sales conversions and profit-maximising as a result of users' experience of a website.
As is the case with all of our projects, following a detailed discussion of Bombay Halwa's requirements and options, we fully educated them with a step-by-step process of what would happen and when, and what their input should be and when. Project 'workflow' is especially critical when building an e-commerce website.
We then presented Bombay Halwa with three alternative design concepts, and adapted their prefered look-and-feel until they were completely happy with it.
One issue that we addressed with Bombay Halwa was that the company originally wanted to invest in one site to jointly target consumers, potential commercial buyers and to promote franchise opportunities. This is not usually the best option however. To successfully market to different sectors usually requires quite different web content, imagery and layouts, and certainly separate sites make on-going web marketing and targeting far easier. As such, Bombay Halwa understood with our help that it made better sense to in-essence offer four separate sites and content to their target markets, for practically the same initial investment.

The Phoenix Partners
The Phoenix Partners approached us with the requirement for a cutting-edge design 'showcase' website, that reflected the creativity and profile of the company itself.
The main driver befind the project was the need for a site that stood apart from its competition for prospects calling The Phoenix Partners to be referred on to for further information.
A key objective in creating this site was that the user should truly feel the 'experience' of journeying through the pages whilst the content and graphics would tell the company's 'story'.
We comprehensively managed the project, orchestrating several specialists within the team (both from NerveCentral, and other freelancers) and delivered a Flash-driven website with an integrated content management system to enable The Phoenix Partners to make in-house updates to their website themselves.
We also usability-tested the design prototypes 'real-time' with subjects. This process did uncover several usability obstacles with the original site design, some of which ultimately resulted in the client approving design changes to better manage the user's experience in navigating the website, and to improve sales conversions that result from web visits.
Urology Matters

NerveCentral was approached by a major pharmaceutical corporation to maintain an online information resource and 'PR machine' within the field of urology. Being a ubiquitously known organisation, it was vital that in the interests of brand retention the site design be maximally user-friendly and professional. Visitors potentially turning away from the site in frustration at not being able to find what they need was not an option. As such NerveCentral tested the effectiveness of the navigation by delivering real-time usability testing and reporting with internet users. We also tested the site design against accepted industry standards and tested and reported on the compatibility of the site across browsers and operating systems. The company is also benefiting from an on-going contract of site statistics' reports to aid their marketing efforts, and on-going web maintenance to maintain their ever-evolving blue-chip reputation.
William Norris & Company
William Norris & Company is in the business of event catering and party organising. William Norris approached NerveCentral as it was looking for a web solutions partner to whom it could completely outsource the design and build of its new website.
As a creative company, William Norris' overriding requirement was that their new web site reflect its professional style and values through the site's design concept. The site needed to make an instantaneous visual impact: William Norris was literally looking for a design that would give his users a 'feast for the eyes' in the same way as his cuisine. Visual appeal was therefore in this case at the top of the priority list so NerveCentral made keen use of colour, texture and movement for the William Norris site design.

IMPACT Style Consultancy
IMPACT Style Consultancy, an image consultancy, asked NerveCentral to deliver a straightforward 'online brochure' website to inform, educate and promote. It's key objective was to draw in new business through an on-going programme of website marketing and promotion.
Due to the large quantity of copy that IMPACT Style Consultancy required, it was critical that the design concept facilitated a well-organised information structure. The clearly defined visual 'frames' work very well from a usability perspective, in drawing the visitor's attention effortlessly to each of the various zones on each page.
IMPACT briefed NerveCentral to create a highly contemporary design as it wished to differentiate itself from the 'traditional' image consultancy. We carefully selected the graphics to compliment the company's logo and brand, so that visually the site is effective at successfully attracting the company's target market.
The result?
"Most of the new clients I have as a result of my website have commented that they were drawn to my company instead of to my competitors because my website oozed an upbeat and highly modern approach. This is obviously important to young professionals seeking help in developing their image.
Talk about getting your money's worth... The site has been one of the most lucrative marketing efforts in which I've invested!"
