Nothing is too much trouble for The Hollies staff, who are at all times attentive and caring. This applies to both the physical care and the emotional needs of the residents who are treated like and looked upon as family. For the 17+ months she was there, I always knew that she was being looked after and her self-contentment was obvious when visiting, which I did 4 times a week. I even felt able to go on holiday with a clear conscience! I cannot recommend it too highly!” John T, husband of resident (June 2019) “Extremely caring” “The staff are all extremely caring and concerning when my mum is not feeling as good as usual. There is plenty for them to do to keep occupied. There is a good choice of food. The Hollies has recently changed ownership and they have brought lots of new ideas and activities.” Janet G, daughter of resident (August 2019) Meet the MD/Owner Insert image Harvey Zimmel, MD of Garforth Residential, has 30 years’ experience as an advisor, operator and financier in care of the elderly. Over the past three decades in healthcare, he has helped to raise the standard and quality of service in elderly care facilities across the UK. It remains his goal to this day. He has personally been involved in projects involving scores of care homes, with many thousands of beds and thousands of staff. Between 1997 and 2007, he also built a residential care home group from scratch to operating nine homes with hundreds of residents and staff. Care and customer service always come first. He believes that nowhere is this ethic more important than in the care of our elderly family members – but it is where some larger organizations struggle. In both of the homes that came under his management in Garforth in 2018, Harvey has built teams that reflect his own values of care, where the needs of residents are foremost. He considers this as the only way to provide the individual in care with quality of life and the family with peace of mind. What you can expect? Our care homes are run according to our four values of care. They are displayed around both homes. These values extend to staff as well as our residents. A caring environment is one where people are in harmony with each other: Always seek to understand and respond to the wishes and needs of our residents Strive to create a team working environment where everyone can continuously learn and grow. Be proud of our professional appearance, language, and behaviour. Understand that if anyone makes a mistake, it will be treated in an open and transparent way as a learning experience for everyone.
